Handling many items at once
Tidy up many items at once instead of clicking through them one by one.
Entering selection mode
Click a checkbox
Click the checkbox at the left of a row in a list or a database. The action bar appears at the bottom even with only one item selected.
Shift + click — a range
Click the first item, then hold Shift and click the last one. Everything in between is selected at once.
Select all from the header
The checkbox in the table header selects or clears every row currently visible.
Supported bulk actions
- Delete — permanently deletes the selection. There is no trash, so it cannot be undone
- Move column/status — change the board column or status of the whole selection at once
- Add/remove labels — toggle several labels
- Change assignee — set the same assignee on every selected row
- Change priority/dates — apply the same priority or schedule to the selection
- Copy — duplicate the selected items inside the same database
Shortcuts
- Ctrl/⌘ + A — select every item on screen (on a board, the current column only)
- Esc — clear the selection and close the action bar
- Shift + ↑↓ — extend the selection to adjacent rows with the keyboard
- Delete — permanently deletes the selection after a confirmation
Safeguards
Bulk actions run in batches of up to 200 items, and within a batch the change either lands completely or not at all. ⚠️ Deletion asks for a confirmation, but there is no trash and it cannot be undone — archive instead of deleting anything you might want to see again. Archived items only disappear from the board and can be pulled back from the archive view. If someone else edited the same item at the same time, a conflict message appears.
