Quick guide to what's new
A fast pass through recent updates, organized around real workflows.
Personal Log — capture tasks, events, and notes fast
Daily log
Add today's tasks, events, and short notes one line at a time. Entries are typed as task, event, or note.
Monthly log
Keep monthly plans and things to remember this month separate from the per-day daily log.
Change states and signifiers
Entries can be marked done, cancelled, or migrated, and tagged with signifiers such as priority, inspiration, explore, and scheduled so you can revisit them.
Slash input
Commands like /task, /event, /memo, /done, /migrate, /priority, /idea, /research, and /scheduled set the type and signifier quickly.
'Log' in the sidebar is separate from daily notes. A daily note is a rich document for one day; the Log is a personal execution list where you add one line at a time and change its state.
Chat — thread sharing and quoted context
Thread replies
Continue a topic in the thread panel of a message. The reply count shows under the message so the conversation stays easy to follow.
Share to channel
An important reply inside a thread can be shared to another channel. The shared message shows part of the original and its author as a quote card.
Task and page previews
Tasks and pages linked in chat are rendered as preview cards instead of bare text links.
Tidy up channels
Rename channels and move them between sections to organize project chat by topic.
Board, calendar, and database improvements
- Reorder Kanban columns — drag a column header to change the order, and teammates see the same order.
- Set a done column — once an Owner or Admin designates a done column, the completion state of tasks moved there is applied consistently across the board, My tasks, the calendar, and analytics.
- Recurring events — one-off events work as before, and for daily, weekly, or monthly recurrences the calendar shows upcoming occurrences in advance. Completing or skipping a single occurrence leaves the rest of the series intact.
- Daily note search — find the body text of past dates directly from the daily note screen and from global search.
- Large databases — scrolling and editing stay light even past 200 records.
- Consistent cell height — row heights no longer shift when switching between view and edit mode.
Quick add — title and every detail in one pass
Open it anywhere
⌘+⇧+TPress ⌘⇧T (Ctrl+Shift+T on Windows) to open the quick add window. It suggests the project you used last, and you can switch to another one.
Natural-language dates and times
Type something like 'design review tomorrow at 3pm' in the title and the date and time are split out automatically and applied to the schedule. If the detection is wrong, ignore it and pick the date yourself.
Add richer details
Expand only what you need: assignee, labels, priority, description, to-dos, location, links, a start reminder, attachments, and a D-Day. Attachments and the D-Day are linked after the task is created, so the task itself is kept either way.
Save as a recurring event
Choose daily, weekly, or monthly, and repeat forever, a set number of times, or until an end date. Even with a recurrence, only one master task is stored; later occurrences are shown in the calendar.
Wiki tree — documents, folders, and drawings in one structure
Create a new item
From the + menu in the Wiki tree, create a regular page, an Excalidraw drawing, a folder, a divider, or a labeled divider.
Organize the hierarchy
Add items under pages and folders to build a document tree. A folder is an organizing container that opens and closes in the tree instead of holding body content.
Separate groups of documents
Dividers split the tree into sections visually. A labeled divider works like a heading for a large group of documents.
Notifications and sharing — reach the right person and context
Accurate mention notifications
A member picked with @ in a task comment, channel chat, or DM is notified correctly even when the mention sits in the middle of a sentence.
Share tasks and events
Copy a link from the task detail or send it straight to project chat, so the conversation and the action item carry the same context.
