Memos — personal notes by color
When a full wiki document is too heavy, jot down one-line ideas, to-dos, and links, color-coded.
Creating a memo
New memo
Open Memos from the sidebar and choose New memo at the top; a new card appears at the front of All memos and you can type right away. Memos have a body only, with no title field, and support light formatting such as checklists. If a color filter is on when you create one, the memo gets that color.
Pick a color
Click the color dot at the top of the memo card to change its color. Choose from No color, Yellow, Pink, Blue, Emerald, Purple, Orange, and Gray.
Pin
Use the pin button at the top of a card to keep the memos you check often at the top. Pinned memos gather under Pinned and the rest under All memos. Sorting runs pinned → position → recently edited.
Quick memo from anywhere
Press ⌘⇧M (Ctrl+Shift+M on Windows) on any screen to open the Quick memo window. Write, then press ⌘ Enter (Ctrl+Enter on Windows) or Save to create the memo, and use View memo in the confirmation message to jump to it. Closing with Esc discards what you were writing.
Saving, copying, and deleting
Memos save automatically when you stop typing, and the save status shows below the card. The copy button copies the memo as text, and the trash button deletes it after a confirmation. A deleted memo cannot be restored. If a save fails or conflicts with a change made elsewhere, you see Save failed · Draft kept along with Copy draft and Review server version buttons, and you are asked once more before the server version replaces your draft.
Search & filter
Body search
Type a keyword into the search box at the top and both the title and the body are searched, ignoring case. The list narrows as soon as you stop typing.
Color filter
Click a color chip below the search box (All, Yellow, Pink, Blue, Emerald, Purple, Orange, Gray) to show only that color; click it again to clear it. Use Color name to give each color a name of up to 20 characters, which appears on the chip and the card. Names are saved with your account, so they match on your other devices.
Ordering & dragging
Drag the handle at the top left of a card to change its position. Pinned and All memos are ordered separately. Choose Card size at the top (Small, Standard, or Wide) to change how many memos fit on a row; your browser remembers it. You can keep 50 memos on Free and 5,000 on the paid plans. At the limit, new memos are restricted while existing memos remain readable, editable and deletable.
