Channel setup

Add a channel
Add a channel with the + icon at the bottom of the chat sidebar on the left. Splitting channels by topic, team, or feature works well.

Channel mentions
Type @name in a message to pick a teammate from the autocomplete menu, and the person you pick gets a notification.
Message features
- Threaded replies — right-click a message > Reply to keep each topic in its own thread
- Emoji reactions — react to a message in one click
- File attachments — upload images, documents, and video together
- Link previews — paste a URL and an OG card appears automatically
- Message search — search by keyword inside a channel
- Task links — reference a task straight from chat
Read markers
Messages are marked read as you read them. Unread counts appear as a badge in the channel list.
